Our client is seeking a driven and professional Industrial Sales Manager to drive profitable sales growth in the Industrial market. In this role, you will manage existing accounts, prospect new business opportunities, and apply your product and application knowledge across various sectors, including metalworking, plastics, general manufacturing, concrete manufacturing, and energy. A strong understanding of metalworking, plastic injection moulding, and fluid management is preferred.

The Role

- Monday to Friday, 37.5hr week, with 8:30 till 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8:30 – 4pm on a Friday
- Full-time, permanent role
- Head office is based in Brighouse
- Role covering North of England
- Account Management: Maintain and strengthen existing business accounts through regular customer contact, including face-to-face visits.
- Sales Growth: Research, identify, and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Consultative Selling: Use in-depth product and application knowledge to meet customer needs and secure sustainable business.
- Profitability Management: Manage margins, negotiate sales, and set competitive pricing strategies.
- CRM Management: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of activities, appointments, prospects, and sales using the CRM system.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sales team to maximize sales growth and share best practices.
- Account Reviews: Conduct regular reviews of underperforming accounts and take appropriate action.
- Upselling and Cross-selling: Identify and act on opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell products and services.
- Call Planning: Implement a structured call plan that covers all aspects of account management and sales growth.
- Reporting: Submit timely and accurate reports, including forecasts, activity reports, and expenses.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about competitor products and industry trends.
- Exhibitions & Events: Attend relevant industry exhibitions and events.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the business.
About You
- Degree in engineering or background in engineering/industrial/tooling/transmission/lubricants industry
- Previous experience within the lubricant/chemical industry
- Proven track record of success in an external sales environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in a B2B industry
- Proficiency in CRM systems and understanding of their use
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commercial awareness

- Experience in diary management
- Solution sales experience
- Knowledge of industrial customers within the allocated geographical area is advantageous
