Business Development Manager

Juice Personnel Ltd is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a long-standing and well-respected client based in Castleford.
Our client is a recognised business with a strong reputation for providing exceptional courier services. Having grown from supporting local businesses in the North West and Yorkshire, they are now a nationally recognised logistics company.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities and building strong client relationships. This role involves generating new leads, meeting prospective clients, and delivering excellent account management to maintain and grow existing customer relationships.

The Role

  • Full time hours - Monday to Friday  40 hours a week
  • 1 hour lunch break 
  • The role can be Perm or Temp to Perm depending on the candidate.
  • Salary: £37,000 per annum plus commission
  • Location is based in Castleford
  • Must be able to drive to be able to see customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the UK logistics sector, with a focus on general haulage and overnight parcel services.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Provide weekly sales activity reports to the Company Directors and meet agreed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure exceptional service delivery that aligns with client needs and expectations.

About You

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the logistics or courier industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
