HGV Mechanic/Technician (4 on 4 off)
We have a brand-new opportunity working within the distribution/transport team at logistics company based in Cross Hills near Keighley, the business provides customers with transport and distribution solutions across the UK and Europe.
They have an excellent opportunity and are now seeking to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic to join the existing Workshop Team.
The role will be dual as an HGV Mechanic and the successful applicant will have previous experience of working within a busy environment and will be prepared to take on other relevant duties as required.

The Role
- Permanent Role
- Location – Cross Hills near Keighley
- Pay – £39,000 to £42,000 per annum plus overtime pay
- Hours – The role is full-time on a 4 on 4 off shift basis and is permanent. The hours of work will be 7:00am to 7:30pm
- Varied role, in excess of over 230 pieces of equipment
- Fast-paced
- Inspect fleet to D.V.S.A standard
- Preparation for M.O.T and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual test
- Carry out Diagnostic and rectification work
- Complete accident damage repairs
- Fitment of C.C.T.V/Scanning Systems
- Fabrication - refurbishment of trailers
- Manage own working area
About You
- NVQ Level 3 in Commercial Vehicle Repairs
- Class 1 Licence would be an advantage
- Good understanding of Maths and English
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Preferred Qualities and Skills of our HGV Mechanic
- Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the existing team
- A positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to work well under pressure
- Proactive and Hands on Approach
