Sales Team Leader

Juice Personnel are excited to collaborate with a client in the Wakefield area to recruit an ambitious Sales Team Leader.

This hands-on role is ideal for candidates with proven experience leading telephone-based sales teams to success, particularly those with a background in construction, property, technical industries, or similar fields.

The Role

  • Pay £30 to 35k per annum DOE
  • Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm – 30 min lunch
  • Full time
  • Based in Wakefield
  • Lead, coach and develop team members to maximise performance.
  • Ensure team members understand expectations and execute daily tasks efficiently.
  • Agree targets and help determine how the team will measure success.
  • Drive the achievement of business objectives and targets.
  • Share best practice and encourage a consistent approach to sales calls.
  • Identify learning needs, implement training and coach ongoing skills development. 
  • Foster collaborative working and problem solving across the sales and business development teams.
  • Develop close working relationships with the Estimating and Operational teams.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly team meetings, communicating key messages from senior management.
  • Conduct monthly 121 meetings, identifying strengths and development areas.
  • Promote a positive approach and motivate team members by celebrating success.
  • Obtain, analyse and utilise data from the CRM to manage performance of the team.
  • Cover team members during holidays/absence, undertaking sales and administration duties.
  • Act as the main point of contact for escalated customer queries and issues.

About You

  • Experience leading a telephone-based sales team.
  • Background working in construction, property or technical industries would be beneficial.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring and motivating salespeople.
  • Ability to inspire trust and respect.
  • Solid understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office – particularly Excel.
