This is a stand alone role working in a shipping and logistics department, ensuring goods are moved efficiently and on time.

The Role
- Shipment Coordination - Plan and coordinate the shipment of goods, ensuring on time and cost effective delivery
- Tracking and Monitoring - Track shipments and update clients and internal teams on the status, addressing any delays or issues
- Vendor and supplier communication - Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to arrange transportation and negotiate rates
- Documentation and Compliance - Prepare and manage shipping documents, ensuring compliance with customs and international regulations
- Inventory Management - Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores person / warehouse team to ensure timely dispatch of goods
- Problem resolution - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods or discrepancies in orders
- Cost Management - Analyse shipping costs and find ways to reduce expenses while maintaining efficiency
- Client Communication - Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Reporting - Prepare and present regular management reports on logistics operations, including shipment status and cost analysis
- Logistics Software use - Utilise logistics software to plan shipments, track orders, and generate reports
- Continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline logistics operations and improve the overall supply chain process
About You
- Strong organisational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently is crucial, as you will be the key point for all logistics matters
- Familiarity with logistics software and international shipping regulations is required
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organised
- Computer literate with MS packages and previous experience of using a CRM system
