Every child deserves a good night's sleep in a warm, comfy bed. However, the harsh reality is that over 6,000 children in Wakefield are deprived of this basic necessity.
This year, we have joined forces with Prosper Wakefield District to support the charity ZARACH, whose mission is to eliminate child bed poverty. A bed bundle costs £150, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we have already helped over 400 children in Wakefield receive something that many of us take for granted: a safe place to sleep well.
As part of our commitment to this cause, Kelly and Jim challenged themselves to complete 10 miles each day throughout the month of September 2025.
This sounds a lot easier than what it actually was, and what with juggling full time jobs, kids, the British weather and their very own dog who likes daily walks - it took a lot of commitment and hard-work. But they did it!
Donations are still being taken but we just wanted to say a massive Well done to them both!
