The Role
- Lead, manage and develop the credit control team, driving performance and accountability
- Take ownership of cash collection targets and monitor performance against KPIs
- Produce accurate reporting on cash collections, debtor days, aged debt and financial risk
- Manage company credit policies, credit limits and customer credit applications
- Build and maintain relationships with credit insurers and external agencies
- Monitor credit exposure, uninsured debt and high-risk customer accounts
- Support the management of the sales ledger, dispute resolution and cash allocation processes
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and credit control processes
- This Credit Risk Manager role offers the opportunity to shape the credit function, strengthen risk management and improve cash flow while supporting the continued growth of the business.
About You
- Minimum CICM Level 3 qualification
- At least 2 years' experience as a Credit Risk Manager, Credit Control Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong background in credit control, cash collection and credit risk management
- Experience producing credit control and cash collection reporting
- Previous experience managing relationships with credit insurers and credit agencies
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with risk management would be advantageous but is not essential
