We were absolutely delighted to win the We are Wakefield Collaboration of the Month award for April alongside our good business friends Northern Media.

Back in November 2024, Jonathan Scott, Director of Northern Media approached MD, KELLY Smith of Juice Personnel with an idea he’d had, about hosting a free workshop to businesses explaining how and when Marketing and HR communicate with each other - wonderful things happen! 💛

So the two got their heads together and created a workshop which focussed on businesses enhancing their Employer Branding by using a marketing strategy which focuses around attraction, recruitment and retention.

Kelly used her 25 years recruitment experience to contribute to the workshop and was able to provide advise and guidance using real life examples of clients who she’s worked with during this time, taking the good (and the bad) from them all!  Partnering these with Jonathan’s extensive sales and marketing knowledge and strategy implementation, the workshop provided businesses with alternative ways in which to attract potential employees to their business, improve their existing recruitment process and enhance their retention programmes by simply using a more effective marketing and social media-based strategy.

The first event was a great success and saw 7 companies attending including a number of WAW members. Solupak, Certus Construction and The Hey Group were 3 of the attendees and all companies said that their staff members had left with some great ideas to implement.

A large manufacturing business in Horbury had this to say ‘’ Thank you both. It was good to hear the perspective from other industry HR personnel. We've come away with a better understanding of the relationship between HR and Marketing and some great ideas for retention and onboarding’’

Due to the success of the first event, Jonathan and Kelly have set a date for the 2nd workshop which will be held at:

📍 The Junction, Horbury, Charles St, Horbury, Wakefield WF4 5FH
📆 8th May.

If you’d like more information on the event, then drop them a message and they’ll be happy to chat more.
