The Role

Providing a bookkeeping service for a wide range of clients, including sales, purchase, and nominal ledger maintenance/processing.
Bank reconciliations: Ensuring accurate records by matching transactions with bank statements.
VAT return preparation: Completing VAT returns and submitting them in line with HMRC regulations.
Advising clients on the use of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
Communicating with clients: Managing client queries and building strong relationships.
Preparing reports: Producing regular financial reports for clients to review their business performance.

About You

Strong experience in managing ledgers and preparing reconciliations.
Confidence with accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Customer service experience: The ability to develop strong working relationships with clients and effectively manage their needs.
Ability to work independently: Capable of working to strict deadlines without supervision.
AAT Level 4 qualification preferred. However, if not qualified to this level, the right candidate should be qualified by experience.
Organised, friendly, and reliable.
Has great communication skills.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
