Estimator – Interior Fit-Out Projects
We’re hiring on behalf of our client – a busy and growing fit-out contractor working across retail, commercial, and public sector interiors.
They’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team and take the lead on pricing, take-offs, and tender submissions across UK-wide projects.

The Role
- In this role, you’ll be responsible for pricing up interior fit-out projects accurately and competitively. You'll work closely with project and sales teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to pull together costings and ensure projects are financially viable. You’ll also manage and support a Junior Estimator day-to-day.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project details to prepare accurate take-offs
- Send out tender packs to subcontractors and suppliers
- Analyse cost returns and negotiate where needed to meet commercial targets
- Prepare detailed cost plans and profitability forecasts for approval
- Identify project risks and work with operations to mitigate them
- Track project variations and support with final account submissions
- Manage and mentor a Junior Estimator, including day-to-day workload and development
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and clients
- Ensure all estimates meet client, safety, and regulatory standards
About You
- Previous experience in estimating for fit-out or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of subcontractor pricing and supply chain costs
- Proficient in estimating tools like Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint)
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience leading or mentoring others
- BTEC or equivalent in a construction-related subject
- 5 GCSEs (Grade A–C) including Maths
