The Role

Operate industrial sewing machines, including Twin Needle machines
Stitch pre-cut fabric pieces to produce mattress and cushion covers
Attach zips, fastenings and other finishing components
Work with a variety of fabrics to produce domestic, medical, sports and safety products
Ensure correct seam widths and finishes meet product specifications
Carry out quality checks on completed work
Undertake basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, changing needles and re-threading
Work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets
This Sewing Machinist role offers the opportunity to use your industrial sewing experience to produce a range of specialist products while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

About You

Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines
Proficient in flat sewing techniques
Experience using Twin Needle sewing machines
Good understanding of seam widths, finishes and fabric types
Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work
Ability to meet production deadlines without compromising quality
Reliable, practical and able to work independently or as part of a team
Good communication skills and commitment to health and safety
