We are looking for a Transport Co-ordinator to support our clients operational needs and ensure timely transport availability and delivery according to client schedules.

The role involves collating data to support KPI’s, analysing performance, and executing general business administration tasks autonomously.

The Role

  • Work closely with warehousing, administration departments, external suppliers, and client stakeholders to facilitate transport needs and maintain day-to-day transport department functions.
  • Liaise with customers to process purchase invoices and raise sales orders promptly.
  • Book transport and manage system data using in-house systems.
  • Support transport compliance, servicing, and driver digi tacho and VU downloads.
  • Analyze business data to review performance and reduce costs.
  • Execute purchase orders and sales orders through Sage.
  • Handle ad-hoc duties as required to support the business.

About You

  • A minimum of A*-C in English and Maths is desirable
  • Experience in maintaining records and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt throughout the day.
  • Knowledge of transport booking systems and processes.
  • Basic understanding of transport legislation and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Good timekeeping and telephone manner.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft Office packages.
